  • Hypothetical rebranding project of a non-profit organization The Greening of Detroit. One of their issues was that they felt disconnected with the community.

    We felt that their logo and branding was too static and corporate feeling and that we wanted a more handcrafted feel. To do this we used watercolors and paper cut outs paired with hand drawn type.

  • Since they have 3 branches within The Greening of Detroit itself, we decided to make icons for each part, that could then come together as a whole within the brand. For the Workforce branch we decided to use a worker bee to represent the hard workers within that branch. For the Education branch, we chose a butterfly to represent the young children and their growth throughout the program. For the Agriculture branch we picked a tomato because they are one of the most popular crops grown in Michigan.
